Buoyant, generous, supple.
TintoNegro black wine was born of the long time friendship and professional collaboration of Alejandro Sejanovich and Jeff Mausbach. The two were colleagues at Bodega Catena Zapata for almost 15 years; Alejandro was vineyard director and Jeff was the wine education director.
This wine was aged 12 months in French oak (20% new).
It's a brutish bottle, heavy and statuesque. Inside, expect an impressive wine with aromas of purple and black berries, smoked spices, vanilla, espresso, violets and pipe tobacco. It is a supple wine with a generosity of vivid fruit. Youthful (still) and buoyant with smooth tannins, and a lingering licorice and chocolate finish.
